Renters

There are limited resources for renters in Suffolk County. Only 18.6% of the county's 536,462 housing units* are rental versus the national average of 44%. This makes looking for affordable rental housing a challenging task. We have sought to bring together all available information to help you with this search.

  • Click here- for more information for market rate rentals.
  • Click here- for more information for subsidized rentals and Section 8 housing programs.

More information can be found on the Long Island Campaign for Affordable Rental Housing's website; they are an organization devoted to creating more rental housing.
