Suffolk County officials will join representatives from Island Harvest, Sustainable Long Island, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County for a  “kick off “ event for Suffolk County’s Healthy Corner Store Project, a project which encourages local businesses to distribute and promote fresh, healthful foods to residents who live in communities that lack access to affordable options.

 

Promotes discounted and free foods at Southampton market

 

Suffolk County officials will join representatives from Island Harvest, Sustainable Long Island, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County for a  “kick off “ event for Suffolk County’s Healthy Corner Store Project, a project which encourages local businesses to distribute and promote fresh, healthful foods to residents who live in communities that lack access to affordable options.

 

The event will feature discounts on 1 percent and skim milk, new outdoor signage promoting healthy food choices, samples of healthy foods and other giveaways.
