About the Space Management Steering Committee

The Suffolk County Space Management Steering Committee was established to oversee the allocation and utilization of space resources within the county. The committee is responsible for making decisions regarding space usage, including the acquisition or renewal of leases for county facilities, as well as planning for future spatial needs.

The Space Management Steering Committee convenes regularly, typically at least once every two months, to review space requests and plan accordingly to meet the county's needs.

Space Management Committee Members

The Space Management Steering Committee is composed of a diverse group of members, including representatives from various county offices and departments. Among our members are the Presiding Officer of the Legislature, the County Executive, and other designated officials, who collaborate to steer our efforts toward effective space management.
