Welcome to the Suffolk County Clerk's Office

Online Records   

 

It gives the Suffolk County Clerk's Office great pride and pleasure to offer you, for the first time, online access to land records. This site contains information on land records recorded and imaged into the Suffolk County Clerk's Office Imaging System from 1987 to present.   

Since 2000, this County Clerk's Office has modernized the department thanks to the internet, document imaging system and the progressive thinking of our County Clerk.  By converting millions of paper documents into electronic images, land records are not only decreasing their space needs but are also finding new and better ways to serve the residents of this county.  Remote access to this information can provide round-the-clock availability for those who don't have time or the resources to come to the Clerk's Office during business hours.   

The County Clerk's Office has linked its existing imaging system with the Internet, giving any customer with a PC access to the information captured on approximately 2.5 million documents. For Judy Pascale, that's giving efficient access and customer satisfaction to hundreds of people querying documents on a daily basis.

As always, you are invited to visit our office where copies of all land transactions within the county are located from 1857 to the present. Our staff is ready to assist you should you have any difficulties.          

 Access Requirements

 

Internet Service: Broadband connection recommended (Cable or DSL).

 

Use and Dissemination Agreement  - scroll down and accept the agreement.

Business Certs    

  • Enter the information you are searching by. (Date format 1/14/1999)
  • Click the Search button.
  • You may access additional information by clicking on the Business Name.  

  

Civil Court Minutes  

  •   Enter the two-digit year followed by a space and a five-digit index.

Please Note: If the index number is less than five digits, pad it with zeros.                           

CORRECT ENTRY INDEX #: 07 00163

  • Search by Plaintiff or Defendant enter the Last Name immediately followed by a percentage sign % no spaces and the First Name on the same line.
  • Click the Search button.
  • You may access additional information by clicking on the Index #.   

Corporations

  • Enter the information you are searching by.

  • Click the Search button.

  • You may access additional information by clicking on the Corporation Name.

 

Judgments  

  • Enter the Debtor's Last Name.   
  • Enter the Debtor's First Name.    
  • Click the Search button.   
  • You may access additional information by clicking on the Index #.
  • To check the status of a judgment if any see Remarks or Notations.    

Liens  

 

Search 1   January 1983 to September 16, 2007

  • Enter the last name into the Against Last Name/Company field, a space and the first few letters of the first name, Do Not enter anything into the First Name field
  • Click the Search button
  • You may access additional information by clicking on the Lien#.
  •   To check the status of a lien if any see the Release Date in the heading and/or the Notations or Remarks section.

Search 2   September 16, 2007 to verify date

  • Enter the last name into the Against Last Name/Company field.
  • Enter the first few letters of the first name in the First Name field.
  • Click the Search button.
  • You may access additional information by clicking on the Lien#.
  • To check the status of a lien if any see the Release Date in the heading and/or the Notations or Remarks section.

Land Records
  • Must use the 19 digit number Tax Map ID No. also known as the District Section Block and Lot numbers. 

  • Enter without punctuation i.e., 0501 010 00 0300 019000.

  • You may contact the Town Assessor's office in which the property is located to obtain the Tax Map Identification Number.

     

      Deeds

    • Enter the Tax Map ID No. using the Tab key to advance to the next box.

    • Click the Search button.

    • You may access additional information by clicking on the Liber number.

     

    Mortgages  

    • Enter the Tax Map ID No. using the Tab key to advance to the next box.

    • Click the Search button.

    • You may access additional information by clicking on the Liber number.
