Cedar Point County Park
East Hampton
Park Phone: (631) 852-7620
Tour and Event Information: (631) 207-4331

Directions: Take Montauk Highway to Stephen Hands Path in East Hampton; follow County Park signs for 6 1/2 miles to park entrance on left.

Built in 1860, this beacon guided ships in and out of Sag Harbor during its heyday as a major port. While the lighthouse's interior is not presently accessible to the public, its location on a lovely strip of sandy beach makes for a pleasant afternoon stroll.

Ongoing events are held by the Long Island Chapter of the US Lighthouse Society (631) 207-4331.
