Where can I purchase a GreenKey? A. You can purchase a GreenKey at the West Sayville Park Operations Office, any of the County Golf Courses (Bergen Point, Indian Island, Timber Point, West Sayville), or any of the following parks (Blydenburgh, Cathedral Pines, Cedar Point, Cupsogue, Indian Island, Meschutt Beach, Sears Bellows, Shinnecock East, Smith Point, Southaven, and Theodore Roosevelt).
Q. How much is a GreenKey? A. The cost for a GreenKey are as follows:

Back to Top Q. What is the GreenKey used for? A. The GreenKey identifies the holder as a Suffolk County resident and insures reduced fees for park activities. GreenKey cards are required to access the automated golf and camping reservation system.
Q. Can I purchase my GreenKey online or by mail? A. No you are unable to purchase your GreenKey online or by mail. You have to go in person to one of the parks listed to purchase the GreenKey (Staff must photocopy two forms of ID). The only exception is a tourist GreenKey which may be purchased by calling the West Sayville Operations Office.
Q. What are valid forms of ID to purchase a GreenKey? A. Two proofs are required. One proof must be a photo I.D. (driver’s license or N.Y. non-driver photo identification card) with a physical address. If non Suffolk County or P.O. Box address, two additional proofs required. Additional proofs can be any of the following: Suffolk County property tax bill, property deed, motor vehicle registration, utility bill, library card, a Suffolk County voter’s registration card, or an official residential lease for a minimum of nine months with same address as photo I.D. Post Office boxes are not accepted as proof of residency.
For discounted GreenKeys (Senior, Junior, Handicap, Volunteer, CERT, Active Military, Auxilliary Police, Veteran and Disabled Veteran) patrons must prove residency and provide these additional proofs:
Handicap GreenKey: a New York State Parks Access Pass or S.C. Handicapped I.D. card (yellow photo I.D.) issued by Suffolk County Office of Handicapped Services. Handicap parking permits are not accepted as handicapped status.
C.E.R.T (*Community Emergency Response Team) GreenKey: volunteer must provide valid S.C. C.E.R.T. Team Member photo I.D. card with expiration date.
Auxiliary Police GreenKey: must provide Auxiliary Police I.D. required.
Firefighter/Emt. GreenKey: identification card must be dated within one year, or a letter on official stationary from their fire department/ambulance company dated within 30 Days.
Veterans GreenKey: DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) or a Suffolk County Resident Veteran I.D. Card issued by the SC Office of Veteran Affairs.
Disabled Veterans GreenKey: a V.A. issued Identification Card stating “Service Connected” disability.
Active Military GreenKey: Military I.D. card, mobilization and/or deployment orders (for more then two weeks). *SOLD AT WEST SAYVILLE OPERATIONS OFFICE ONLY*
Q. Where can I buy an Outer Beach Sticker(4 Wheel Drive Permit)? A. You can purchase an Outer Beach Sticker at the West Sayville Parks Operations Office or at any of the following Parks (Cathedral Pines, Cedar Point, Cupsogue, Indian Island, Sears Bellows, Shinnecock East, Smith Point, Theodore Roosevelt). *Only one discounted Outer Beach pass can be purchased per discounted green key card. Additional Outer Beach passes must be purchased at the resident rate.*

Q. Can I reserve a group camping/picnic area? A. Suffolk County based groups can reserve picnic sites and family or youth group camping areas at most parks. Contact the Permit Department at 631-854-4964 for details.
