The Hawkins House is located at the corner of Main Street and Yaphank Avenue, County Route 21, north of the Long Island Expressway.

The Hawkins House was built c. 1850 in the Italianate Style by Robert Hewlett Hawkins (1817 - 1855), one of Yaphank's leading citizens.  The Yaphank Historic Society gives tours of the house on the weekend from spring to fall.  For more information and special events, call (631) 924-3401.
