Bail Information

If you wish to post bail for an inmate, you must know their date of birth. The on-site process will take several hours to complete. All bail posting is conducted at the Riverhead Facility.
Bail can be posted using ONLY one of the following forms:
Cash
Bank Check
Cashier Check
Credit Card
Bank and Cashier checks are only accepted during normal banking hours. The check
will be verified at the branch from which it was drawn. Bank or Cashier check must be written to the Sheriff of Suffolk County NY Credit Card transactions are processed through a third party provider. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards are accepted. A non-refundable fee for service will be added to the total bail amount. The credit card holder must be present at the facility with a valid photo ID to complete the transaction. For further Inmate Bail information for either facility, contact:
