Riverhead, NY
- Suffolk County Clerk Judith Pascale and
the employees of the County Clerk's Office took part in Lee National Denim Day on October 9th, 2009.
Employees participated and showed their commitment to finding a cure for breast cancer by making a $5 dollar contribution to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and wearing denim attire and pink ribbon pins.
“Nearly every individual and family in Suffolk County has been touched in someway by breast cancer. I am proud of each and every member of my staff that took the time and effort to support such a worthy cause. Together we are making a difference,” commented Suffolk County Clerk Judith A. Pascale.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is the nation's leading private financial supporter of breast cancer research and community programs dedicated solely to breast cancer. The Foundation was established by Nancy Brinker in honor of her sister, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36.
By providing information about breast cancer and breast health, Lee Denim National Day was a great success at the County Clerk's Office. Through donations from the County Clerk and employees, money was raised for breast cancer research.
