The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is an initiative operated by the Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing and Consumer Affairs, specifically tailored for eligible youth ages 14 to 20 in Suffolk County. This comprehensive seven-week program offers a rewarding experience where participants engage in meaningful paid work, explore diverse career paths, benefit from valuable mentorship and guidance, achieve financial empowerment, and access professional development opportunities. By actively participating in SYEP, youth not only earn a competitive income but also contribute to the economic growth of Suffolk County.   • Youth ages 14-20
  • Seven-week paid internship
  • In person work experience program
  • Up to 25 hours per week
  • Youth are paid $15 per hour at no cost to the employer

Deadline to submit your application for the program & all required documents is Friday, June 23rd, 2023 @ 4pm.
