Green Key Card

  1. Green Key identifies holder (except non-resident card) as a Suffolk County resident and ensures reduced fees for park activities. Park Fees are established by County Legislature, Click Here to View Fee Schedule.
  2. Green Key Card provides access to parks reservation system and establishes rates for services at Suffolk County Parks.
  3. All Resident Green Keys are valid for three (3) years from date of purchase with exception of an Active Military Green Key that is valid for one year (expires at end of calendar year) and Non-Resident Keys are Valid for 1 year (expires one year from date of purchase)
  4. Applicable Discounts apply to Green Key Cardholders only & are non-transferable, even in same household.
  5. Green Key Categories are defined as follows:

  • Suffolk County Lease or Rental Agreement (term greater than 9 months)
  • Utility Bill (Cable, Gas, Electric, Water, etc.)
  • Suffolk County Library or Town Recreation Card
  • Suffolk County Employee ID
  • Suffolk County High School ID
  • Vehicle Registration
  • Auto Insurance ID Card
  • Registered Voter
  • NYS Fishing License
Senior Citizen Suffolk County Resident 60+ Years
of Age or Older at time of sale
  • Meet Resident Eligibility
  • Driver’s License or Birth Certificate verifying age
Junior Suffolk County Resident 17 Years Old
or younger as of Date of Sale
  • Meet Suffolk County Resident Green Key Eligibility

and

One:

  • Driver’s License or Birth Certificate verifying age
  • Current Report Card
  • Suffolk County School ID
Disabled Suffolk County Resident determined to be
disabled by Suffolk County or New York State
  • Meet Suffolk County Resident Green Key Eligibility

and

One:

  • Suffolk County Disability ID Card
  • New York State Disability Access Pass
Volunteer Suffolk County Resident that is a member of a
Suffolk County Volunteer Fire, EMT, Auxiliary or CERT agency
  • Meet Suffolk County Resident Green Key Eligibility

and

One:

  • Volunteer ID card
  • Letter on Department Letterhead stating their status is “ACTIVE” with current date, no more than 6 months old.
Veteran Suffolk County Resident who served in the Armed Forces
  • Meet Suffolk County Resident Green Key Eligibility

and

One:

  • DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
  • Suffolk County Resident Veteran ID Card
Disabled Veteran Suffolk County Resident determined to be a
disabled veteran by Veteran Affairs
  • Meet Suffolk County Resident Green Key Eligibility

and

Red, White, and Blue Veterans Administration ID Card from DVA, with photo saying “SERVICE CONNECTED” underneath.

Active Military Suffolk County Resident who is active military or
active military personnel stationed in Suffolk County. Discount is applicable for immediate family only (i.e. spouse and children)
  • Meet Suffolk County Resident Green Key Eligibility

and

  • Copy of Active Orders

or

  • Copy of Active Orders with stationed location in Suffolk County
