Technology-Related Assistance Program (TRAID)

What is the Technology Related Assistance Program (TRAID)?

The TRAID Program provides statewide coordination of assistive technology (AT) activities for people with disabilities and fosters the development of state and federal policies and programs to enhance the availability of assistive technology. The TRAID program is funded through a federal grant from the Administration on Community Living (ACL), NYS Department of Health Early Intervention Program (EI) and the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Program, NYS Department of Education ACCES-VR Program and administered by the New York State Justice Center.

SILO is partnering with the NYS Justice Center to provide an extensive inventory of durable medical equipment items as well as Assistive & Adaptive devices on loan for FREE.

The Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) Program provides access to assistive technology to any New Yorker with a disability through Regional TRAID Centers.

Documentation from a treating professional, a Doctor, Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist is required to process the loan to ensure that the device or equipment is safe and suitable for the individual to use.
