The Riverhead trial of Michael Grasing, charged with murder in the second degree for speeding with a blood alcohol level of .30, almost four times the legal limit when he crashed into a Lindenhurst teenager’s car, killing her, will begin Monday, October 20, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

A Rocky Point man who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of heroin last year when he crossed the centerline and crashed into a mother with her newborn in the car will be sentenced tomorrow, Tuesday (Oct. 21), in Riverhead, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Jonathan Thompson of Amityville, charged with second-degree murder for causing the death of his girlfriend's 4-year-old godson, pleaded guilty today to striking the victim multiple times causing the boy’s death in January of last year, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
