The only Corporation that is filed at the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office is a Religious Corporation.
Note: as of June 2, 2014, corporations are filed electronically with the NYS Department of State; the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office no longer receives a hardcopy.

If you will be using the terms "limited”, "LTD", "INC" or "CORP" imply that the business is incorporated.
If you wish to incorporate, this must be processed through the Department of State in Albany, the form required is a T-339. You may contact them at (518) 473-2492 or please visit the NYS Department of State, Division of Corporations, State Records & UCC website here.
Note: Registration with the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office is not required if your business is Incorporated.
