The Suffolk County Human Rights Commission welcomes student interns and offers internship programs all year long. Every effort is made to facilitate a relationship that is beneficial to both the interns and to the agency in terms of providing an enhanced learning experience for the students, while enabling them, after a short training period, to perform tasks that are productive and essential to our mission.
Under the direct supervision of an Investigator, interns generally assist in the investigation and evaluation of complaints of discrimination which come under the jurisdiction of the Suffolk County Human Rights Commission.
All internships are voluntary/unpaid positions. College credit may be available for students in accordance with their college or university’s requirements.
