MARCH

MARCH IS COLORECTAL AWARENESS MONTH

JOIN PECONIC BAY MEDICAL CENTER & CANCER SERVICES OF SUFFOLK COUNTY

Walk through a giant inflatable colon to learn about colorectal health and receive free colon cancer screening to eligible women and men who do not have health insurance

WHY GET SCREENED?

  • Testing can find growths (polyps) so they can be removed before they become cancer.
  • Because regular testing can also find colon cancer early, when treatment works best. Early detection and prompt treatment saves lives.
  • Colon cancer is the #2 cancer killer in New York. One out of four NYS adults aged 50-75 years have never received life-saving colon cancer screening tests, and more than half of deaths from colon cancer could be prevented with regular testing.
