Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
HEAP is a federally funded program that issues heating benefits to supplement a household’s annual energy cost. Suffolk County Office for the Aging processes applications for individuals over the age of 60 who are not currently receiving SNAP (formally known as Food Stamps) or Temporary Assistance. Chronic Disease Self Management "Living Healthy With Better Choices"
A 6 week workshop series taught by certified master Trainers is designed to enable participants to control their chronic conditions by nutrition, self-awareness, exercise, relaxation techniques and peer support. For information on this program please call RSVP at 631-979-9490 ext. 11.
