Comptroller Kennedy Urges LIPA Board of Trustees To reject the Department of Public Service Recommendations and Examine their own Authoritative Role

October 19, 2015 - Suffolk County Comptroller John M. Kennedy, Jr. appeared before the LIPA Board of Trustees meeting today to strongly urge the Board to reject the Department of Public Service recommendations and suspend the review proceedings at this time, to allow for further examination of these impacts to the general public.

Gregory, League of Women Voters Host Student Day

Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory and the League of Women Voters of Suffolk County on Oct. 8 hosted 27 high school students from Hauppauge High School, Commack High School, Smithtown High School East, Huntington High School and North Babylon High School for a Student Day at the William H. Rogers Legislature Building in Hauppauge.

Comptroller Kennedy Enjoys the Local Food and Music at Blue Claw Crab Festival in Mastic Beach

August 30, 2015 – Suffolk County Comptroller John M. Kennedy, Jr. enjoyed both the food and company as he joined Mastic Beach Mayor Maura Spery and Legislator Leslie Kennedy at the 12th annual Blue Claw Crab Festival in Mastic. The event hosted over 2,000 residents from all over Long Island allowing them to enjoy great food, music and company.

Kennedy, Jr. enjoyed both the food and company as he joined the Cutchogue Fire Department and Legislators Al Krupski and Leslie Kennedy in the fire department’s annual Chicken Barbecue.
