The Suffolk County Parks System is truly one which all county residents can be proud of, as it provides us with quality leisure opportunities from Montauk to Huntington. Our Parks Department manages over 46,000 acres of parkland, offering a multitude of leisure time pursuits.

Popular activities within the Suffolk County Parks System include golfing, camping, horseback riding, swimming, hiking, fishing, outer beach (shoreline) activities, boating, or visiting one of our historic sites such as the Big Duck, an all-time favorite.

County Parks Campfire Ban

Please be advised that the fire ban which was put into effect on April 9, 2012 has been lifted. We do ask that campers and park visitors still be cautious when using campfires and make sure that they dispose of their ashes properly.

Timber Point Country Club Blue Course

Attention Golfers:
The Parks Department is pleased to announce that starting Friday April 27, 2012 the Blue Course at Timber Point Country Club will be reopening for weekday and weekend play. If you have any questions please contact the Parks Operations Office at (631) 854-4949.
