Participate in the celebration of the One-Room School House with soldiers from the 9th Virginia Infantry, Co. C, 30th Virginia Infantry, Co. B, and the 67th N.Y. Co. K (1st Long Island Volunteers). Special guest: Town of Islip Historical and 15th Brooklyn Chaplain George Munkenbeck will discuss Medical care during the Civil War.

See how classes were held in the 1850s with our period school teacher, watch period children's toy demonstrations and play with them, talk with Union and Confederate Civil War soldiers and civilians, walk around camp and see how life was during the Civil War, watch go through drills and manual of arms, watch as. the soldiers march and fire their muskets, and take a photo with a Civil War soldier.
