United States Power Squadrons America's Boating Course
This course meets the New York State education requirement for the Personal Water Craft (PWC) Operation Permit , Youth and Adult Boating Certificate. Upon successful completion, you will have met the requirements to operate a PWC or as a youth boater operate a vessel independently.
America's Boating Course provides basic boating knowledge to decide what type and size boat you need, what to do when meeting another boat in a crowded waterway, and how to recognize and handle hazards. This course is offered as a classroom course. Successful completion meets the boating education requirements for the operator permit of licensure in New York State. Must attend both sessions!
