Suffolk County reported the following confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 through 2:30 p.m. on April 2, 2020
To date, more than 21,400 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an increase of approximately 2,100 from April 1.
- 1,057 patients are hospitalized (up 157 from April 1) 314 of those are in the intensive care unit (up 42 from April 1)
- 84 deaths (up 15 from April 1)

- A male in his age 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A male in his 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A male in his 80s with underlying medical conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A female in her 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A female in her 50s with underlying medical conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A female in her 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A male in his 60s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local nursing home and rehabilitation facility
- A male in his 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
