On December 1:
- 1,474,101 COVID-19 tests were administered, an addition of 16,615 tests
- 966 new cases were reported
- 62,647 total cases
- 4.2% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
- 5.5% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.1% positive on a 7-day average
- 5.8% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.5% positive on a 7-day average
Antibody Testing
- 297,694 total were tested for antibodies
- 31,201 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
Fatalities
- 3 fatalities
- 2,059 total fatalities
COVID-19 Hospitalizations data from December 1, 2020
- 287 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 21 in 24 hours
- 39 were new admissions
- 50 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 2 in 24 hours
- 18 patients were in the ICU and intubated
- 26 were discharged since the last report
- 6,461 have been discharged since March 22
Hospital Capacity
- 2989 hospital beds, 653 available, 22 percent
- 382 ICU beds 107 available, 28 percent
