Covid-19 Case Update November 18, 2020 5:30 pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 18, 2020. Last updated November 17, 2020 

On November 17:

  • 1,269,265 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 11,360 tests  
  • 4.3% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 3.6% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 3.3% positive on a 7-day average
  • 3.8% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 3.4% positive on a 7-day average

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 54,485 total cases
  • 430 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 291,675 total were tested for antibodies
  • 30,644  individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 1 fatality
  • 2,029 total fatalities

Hospitalization data from November 17, 2020

  • 103 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 3  in 24 hours
  • 22 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change  in 24 hours
  •  6  Positive Currently in the ICU and Intubated
  • 13 new admissions
  • 10 discharged
  •  6,194 discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity

  • 2,980 hospital beds, 699 available, 23 percent
  • 378 ICU beds 93 available, 25 percent
