COVID-19 Case Update - October 26, 2021

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on October 26, 2021. Last updated October 25, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,082,460 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,331
  • 978,626 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 1,296
  • 73.1% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 86.9% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  • 66.1% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  • 79.5% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series.
  • 77.2% of the population ages 12+ has completed the vaccine series.

  • Vaccination rates by zip code
  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. Answers to your vaccine questions can be found on this page, as well.
  • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

COVID-19 Case Tracker- On October 25, 2021

  • 7,061 COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 5,496,276 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 195 new cases were reported
  • 240,888 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 4.4% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 2.8% tested positive in Suffolk County; 2.5% positive on a 7-day average
  • 2.6% tested positive on Long Island; 2.3% positive on a 7-day average
  • COVID Antibodies: 90,035 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies; 417,492 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 1 fatality
  • 3,617 total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from October 25, 2021

  • 156 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 6  in 24 hours
  • 16 were new admissions
  • 28 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) an increase of 4 in 24 hours
  • 17 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 8 were discharged since the last report
  • 16,875 have been discharged since March 22, 2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 681 available, 22%
  • 402 ICU beds, 119 available, 30%
