The Suffolk County Board of Health will hold a
public hearing to listen to comments from the community concerning the addition
to the Suffolk County Sanitary Code of an Article 18, “Petroleum Bulk Storage.” Comments may also be directed to the Board in
writing (Suffolk County Board of Health, Post Office Box 9006, Great River, NY
11739-9006) or via email at boardofhealth@suffolkcountyny.gov,
and must be received by mail on May 16, 2017 or in person at the public hearing
on the morning of May 17, 2017.
The proposed
Article 18 for inclusion in the Suffolk County Sanitary Code, is posted on the
Board of Health’s webpage, http://www.suffolkcountyny.gov/Departments/HealthServices/BoardofHealth.aspx. Please continue to check the Suffolk County
Board of Health’s webpage for possible revisions or extensions.
The Board of Health, at the request of the
commissioner of health services, considers matters relating to the preservation
and improvement of public health. In the event that a quorum cannot be
achieved, the meeting will be cancelled. Members of the public who plan to
attend are advised to call 631-854-0100, the day of the meeting, to find out if
the meeting will take place.
