Aerial Mosquito Larvicide Notice

The Suffolk County Department of Public Works’ Division of Vector Control plans to treat parts of the following marshes by helicopter to control mosquito larvae.  Should weather conditions prevent completion of the work, it will be continued on the next suitable day.

 

Time and date of the application: June 18-21, 2018, 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

*Please note, applications to listed sights in Riverhead and Southold will begin today starting at 2pm. The remaining listed sights will be treated starting Tuesday morning.

Method of application:  Low altitude, granular application

Name of Pesticide: VectoPrime FG (Bti – Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) and Altosid Liquid Larvicide Concentrate (Methoprene) EPA #73049-501.

 

Marshes that will be treated are marked “Yes.”
