The
Suffolk County Department of Health Services has closed 22 beaches to bathing
due to the finding of bacteria at levels that exceed acceptable criteria. In
addition, four beaches that had closed earlier this season remain closed. In
total, 26 beaches are closed to bathing.
The
following beaches are closed to bathing. Those marked with an asterisk closed
earlier this season.
