This program is sponsored by EatSmartNY Long Island Region and Cornell Cooperative Extension. It will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 7-8pm, at the Hauppauge Public Library, 1373 E. Veterans Memorial Hwy, Hauppauge, NY 11788. In this interactive program participants will learn skills to measure the amount of sugar in some popular drink choices, and also distinguish the different names for sugar. An overview of how to read a nutrition label willbe provided to make participants more awareof what is in their drinks. EastSmart NY-LI is a community based nutrition, education, and obesity prevention program. The programs are offered for free in English, and Spanish, and are for youth, adults, and seniors.
