Suffolk County reported the following confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 through 6 p.m. on 3/21/2020

  • 668 confirmed cases  (up 6 from what was reported at 3:15 p.m. on March 21, below)
  • 9 deaths (as reported at 3:15 p.m. on March 21, below)

A breakdown of cases by township reported through 6 p.m.on 3/21/2020 - Note: this breakdown comprises the information from 587 records available to Suffolk County at this time. 

  • Babylon -- 86 patients
  • Brookhaven -- 85 patients
  • East Hampton -- 5 patients
  • Huntington -- 127 patients
  • Islip -- 109 patients
  • Riverhead -- 11 patients
  • Shelter Island -- 1 patients
  • Smithtown -- 39 patients
  • Southampton -- 10 patients
  • Southold -- 70 patients
  • Township unavailable -- 44

Suffolk County reported the following confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 through 3:15 p.m. on 3/21/2020

  • 662 confirmed cases  (up 203 from March 20)
  • 9 deaths (up 2 from March 20)

Deaths reported on March 21 at 3:15 p.m. include:

  • A woman in her 80s who was in mandatory isolation at a local nursing facility
  • A female 80s who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
