COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - March 24, 2020, 2:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 through 2:30 p.m. on 3/24/2020

  • 1,880  confirmed cases  (up 422 from the 1,458 cases that were reported at 2:30 p.m. on March 23)
  • 163 are hospitalized (up 47 from March 23), 50 of those are in the intensive care unit
  • 17 deaths (up 4 from March 23)

Deaths reported on March 24 at 2:30 p.m. include:

  • A man in his 60s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  • A female in her 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  • A female in her 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  • A female in her 70s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
