COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - May 15, 2020, 5:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 15, 2020:

Testing

  • 126,829 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 2,777 tests
  • 65,120 total tested for antibodies

Tested Positive*

  • 37,719 total
  • 149 new cases

Tested Positive for Antibodies

  • 8,101 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Hospitalization, May 13

  • 554 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 21
  • 185 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 2
  • 44 new admissions
    44 discharged
  • 4,406 total discharged since March 22

Hospitalization, May 14

  • 539 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 15
  • ​186 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 1
  • 36 new admissions May 14
  • 40 discharged May 14
  • 4,446 total discharged since March 22

Fatalities

  • 1,709 individuals have died
  • 12 new deaths

  • 2,974 Total Hospital Beds; 914 available
  • ​Meets state reopening requirement for more than 30 percent
  • 574 ICU beds; 205 available
  • Meets state reopening requirement for more than 30 percent

Hospital Beds, May 14

  • 2,946 Total Hospital Beds; 890 available
  • Meets state reopening requirement for more than 30 percent
  • 574 ICU beds; 183 available
  • Meets state reopening requirement for more than 30 percent
