COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - May 25, 2020, 5:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 25, 2020 

Testing

  • 157,702 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 4,010 tests*
  • 24.8 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 103,166 total tested for antibodies

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • ·         39,090 total
  • ·         126 new cases

Tested Positive for Antibodies

  • 12,409 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Hospitalization,

  • 335 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 8
  • 106 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 5
  • 16 new admissions
  • 20 discharged
  • 4832 since March 22

Fatalities

  • 6 new fatalities
  •  1,840 total fatalities

Hospital Beds

  • 3071 total hospital beds; 1110 available*
  • 595 ICU beds; 246 available*
