COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - May 26, 2020, 5:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 26, 2020 

Testing

  • 160,943 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 3,241 tests*
  • 24.4 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 105,124 total tested for antibodies

 Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 39,199 total
  •  109 new cases

Tested Positive for Antibodies

  • 12,623 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Hospitalization,* as of May 26 at 5 p.m.

  • 305 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 30
  • 94 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 12
  • 11 new admissions
  • 9 discharged
  • 4,841 since March 22

Fatalities

  • 11 new fatalities
  • 1,851 total fatalities

Hospital Beds, as of May 26 at 5 p.m.

  •  3071 total hospital beds; 1111 available*
  • 595 ICU beds; 242 available*
