COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - May 27, 2020, 2:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 27, 2020 

Testing

  • 163,435 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 2,492 tests*
  • 24.0 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 105,783 total tested for antibodies

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 39,258 total
  • 59 new cases

Tested Positive for Antibodies

  • 12,694 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Hospitalization,* as of May 26 at 5 p.m.

  • 301 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 4
  • 92 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 2
  • 16 new admissions
  • 13 discharged
  • 4,854 since March 22

Fatalities

  • 10 new fatalities*
  •  1,861 total fatalities

Hospital Beds, as of May 26 at 5 p.m.

  • 3102 total hospital beds; 1059 available*
  • 595 ICU beds; 253 available*
