COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - June 28, 2020, 4:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on June 28, 2020. Last updated June 27, 2020 

Testing

  • 314,917 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 5,095 tests
  • 13.1 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 41,306 total cases
  • 53 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 167,698 total tested for antibodies
  • 18,970 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 1 new fatality
  • 1,979 total fatalities

Hospitalization, updated June 28 at 4:30 p.m.

  • 72 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 3
  • 23 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 3
  • 11 new admissions
  • 20 discharged
  •  5,365 discharged since March 22

NY Forward Statewide Guidelines

Beginning on June 25, persons traveling to New York, New Jersey or Connecticut from any state that has an infection rate above 10 per 100,000 on the seven-day rolling average or 10 percent of the total population positive on a seven-day rolling average are  required to quarantine for 14-days. As of today, the states that are above that level include:  

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Arizona
  • Florida
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Washington
  • Utah
  • Texas
