COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - July 4, 2020, 4:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on July 4, 2020. Last updated July 3, 2020

Total Persons Tested

  • 341,388 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 4,110 tests
  • 12.2 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 41,585 total cases
  • 47 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 179,715total tested for antibodies
  • 19,863 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 0 new fatalities
  • 1,983 total fatalities

Hospitalization, numbers from July 3, updated July 4 at 4:30 p.m.

  • 66 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 4
  • 19 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 2
  • 10 new admissions
  • 10 discharged
  • 5,409 discharged since March 22

NY Forward Statewide Guidelines

Beginning on June 25, persons traveling to New York, New Jersey or Connecticut from any state that has an infection rate above 10 per 100,000 on the seven-day rolling average or 10 percent of the total population positive on a seven-day rolling average are  required to quarantine for 14-days. As of today, the states that are above that level include:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Iowa
  • Idaho
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Nevada
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
