Covid19 Case Update July 30, 2020 4:30pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on July 30, 2020. Last updated July 29, 2020

Total Persons Tested

  • 468,375 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 6,247 tests        
  • 9.2 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 1.2 percent of those tested on Long Island in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
  • 1.4 percent of those tested in Suffolk County in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 43,170 total cases
  • 86 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 218,425 total tested for antibodies
  • 23,322 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 0 fatalities
  • 1,996 total fatalities

Hospitalization, numbers from July 29, updated July 30 at 4:30 p.m.

  • 42 individuals were hospitalized, no change in the past 24 hours
  • 14 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 1
  • 8 new admissions
  • 7 discharged
  • 5,610 discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity

  • 3025 hospital beds, 793 available, 26 percent
  • 396 ICU beds, 139 available, 35 percent

COVID-19 Travel Advisory

Beginning on June 25, persons traveling to New York, New Jersey or Connecticut from any state that has an infection rate above 10 per 100,000 on the seven-day rolling average or 10 percent of the total population positive on a seven-day rolling average are required to quarantine for 14-days. As of today, the states that are above that level include:
