The Peconic Estuary Program Management Committee is scheduled for:

Wednesday, October 14th through a conference call.

The Peconic Estuary Partnership’s mission is to protect and restore the Peconic Estuary and its watershed.

The Peconic Estuary is one of 28 recognized “Estuaries of National Significance” identified by the US EPA’s National Estuary Program (NEP), which aims to protect and preserve nationally significant estuaries that are threatened by pollution, development, or overuse.

The Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) is the Peconic Estuary Partnership's blueprint for protecting and restoring the Peconic Estuary. The Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) promotes a holistic approach to improving and maintaining the estuary and its watershed. The roles and responsibilities of the Management Committee are to recommend the workplans, budgets, Action Plans, and implementation of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan to the Policy Committee.
