COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - November 3, 2020, 4:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 3, 2020. Last updated November 2, 2020 

  • 1,112,702 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 9,927 tests  
  • 4.5 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  •  1.8 percent of those tested on Long Island in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
  • 1.8  percent of those tested in Suffolk County in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 49,780 total cases
  • 176 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 286,013 total were tested for antibodies
  • 30,096 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 0 fatalities
  • 2021 total fatalities

Hospitalization data from November 2, 2020

  • 42 individuals were hospitalized, no change in 24 hours
  •  4 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 2 in 24 hours
  • 5 new admissions
  • 5 discharged
  • 6,072 discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity

  • 2998 hospital beds, 824 available, 27 percent
  • 381 ICU beds 115 available, 30 percent
