COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - November 21, 2020, 8:00 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 21, 2020. Last updated November 20, 2020

On November 20:

  • 1,315,435 COVID-19 tests were administered, an addition of 17,718 tests  
  • 4.2% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 2.9% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 3.1% positive on a 7-day average
  • 2.7% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 3.1% positive on a 7-day average

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 55,807 total cases
  • 478 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 293,217 total were tested for antibodies
  • 30,776  individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 0 fatalities
  • 2,032 total fatalities

Hospitalization data from November 20, 2020

  • 131  individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 9 in 24 hours
  • 24 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 4 in 24 hours
  • 10  Positive Currently in the ICU and Intubated
  • 27  new admissions
  • 18  discharged since last report
  • 6,235  discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity

  • 2,990 hospital beds, 758 available, 25 percent
  • 383 ICU beds 110 available, 29 percent
