Covid-19 Case Update January 26, 2021 4pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on January 26, 2021. Last updated January 25, 2020.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

As of January 26 at 11 a.m., on Long Island

·        229,520  COVID-19 vaccine doses have been received

·        172,500 doses have been administered, 75%

 

COVID-19 Viral Testing: On January 25:

  •         13,296  COVID-19 tests were administered
  •         2,415,151  total tests have been administered since March
  •         1,135  new cases were reported
  •         137,728 total cases have been reported since March
  •         5.7% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  •         8.5% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 7.2% positive on a 7-day average
  •       7.8% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 6.9% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing, Suffolk County

  • 35,176 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 323,770 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 15 fatalities
  • 2,723 total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from January 25, 2021

  • 808 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 6 in 24 hours
  • 67 were new admissions
  • 127 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change  in 24 hours
  • 86 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 49  were discharged since the last report
  • 9,907 discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,232 hospital beds, 745 available, 23%
  • 443 ICU beds, 113 available, 26%
