COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - February 20, 2021, 9:00 p.m.

  Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on February 20, 2021. Last updated February 19, 2020.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information -  As of February 20 in Suffolk County

COVID-19 Viral Testing: On February 18:

  • 14,759  COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 2,795,658 total tests have been administered since March
  • 602 new cases were reported
  • 157,516  total cases have been reported since March
  • 5.6% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 4.1% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.2% positive on a 7-day average
  • 4.0% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.3% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County

  • 38,900 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 338,340 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 9 fatalities
  • 3,022  total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from February 19, 2021

  • 464 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 26 in 24 hours
  • 36 were new admissions
  • 99 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 2 in 24 hours
  • 70 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 52  were discharged since the last report
  • 11,446  discharged since March 22

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,203 hospital beds, 785 available, 25%
  • 437 ICU beds, 103  available, 24%
