Covid-19 Case Update March 11, 2021 4pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on March 11, 2021. Last updated March 10, 2021.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information -  As of March 11, 2021 

Suffolk County

  •          292,242  people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 7,564
  •          19.7% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  •          152,780 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 8,954

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On March 10, 2021:

  • 15,925 COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 3,071,482  total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 565 new cases were reported
  • 168,764  total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 5.5% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 3.5% tested positive in Suffolk   County yesterday; 4.1% positive on a 7-day average
  • 3.8% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.2% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County

  • 42,058  individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 348,961 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 9 fatalities
  • 3,145 total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from March 10, 2021

  • 395  individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 5 in 24 hours
  • 41  were new admissions
  • 71 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 11 in 24 hours
  • 49 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 50 were discharged since the last report
  • 12,238 have been discharged since March 22,2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,184  hospital beds, 737 available, 23%
  • 437 ICU beds, 105 available, 24%
