Covid-19 Case Update March 24, 2021 4:45pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on March 24, 2021. Last updated March 23, 2021.
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of March 24, 2021  
•       390,404  people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 9,218
•       26.4% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•       208,527 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 5,538
•       Demographics can be found on the NYSDOH vaccine tracker
•       699,790 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 3/15-3/21.

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On March 23, 2021: 
•    15,458  COVID-19 tests were administered
•    3,265,252 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    665 new cases were reported
•    177,334 total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    5.4% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    4.3% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.4% positive on a 7-day average
•    4.4% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.4% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County
•    44,096 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    354,817 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County
•    5 fatalities
•    3,214 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from March 22, 2021
•    390 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 9 in 24 hours
•    39  were new admissions
•    80 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 9 in 24 hours
•    47 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    51 were discharged since the last report
•    12,774 have been discharged since March 22,2020
H ospital Capacity, Suffolk County
•    3,153 hospital beds, 676 available, 21%
•    433 ICU beds, 95 available, 22%
