Covid-19 Case Update March 29, 2021 4pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on March 29, 2021. Last updated March 28, 2021.
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of March 29, 2021  
•       429,758  people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 8,476
•       29.0% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•       239,273  people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 6,105
•       Demographics can be found on the NYSDOH vaccine tracker
•       828,000 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 3/22-3/28

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On March 28, 2021: 
•    13,214 COVID-19 tests were administered
•    3,349,286 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    685 new cases were reported
•    181,006  total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    5.4% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    5.2% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.4% positive on a 7-day average
•    4.8% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.3% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County
•    44,913 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    356,833 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County
•    3  fatalities
•    3,235 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from March 28, 2021
•    386 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 5 in 24 hours
•    35 were new admissions
•    78 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 2 in 24 hours
•    40 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    41 were discharged since the last report
•    12,998 have been discharged since March 22,2020
Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County
•    3,140 hospital beds, 782 available, 25%
•    435 ICU beds, 121 available, 28%
