Covid-19 Case Update April 7, 2021 4:20pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on April 7, 2021. Last updated April 6, 2021.
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of April 7, 2021  
•       508,610 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 7,346
•       34.3% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•       296,079 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 7,021
•       20.0 percent of the total population of 1,481,093 has completed their vaccine series

•       819,800 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 3/29-4/4

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On April 6, 2021: 
•    14,560 COVID-19 tests were administered
•    3,487,016 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    662 new cases were reported
•    187,149 total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    5.4% of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    4.5% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.3% positive on a 7-day average
•    4.3% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.3% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County (not updated since yesterday)
•    46,292 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    360,148 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County 
•    6 fatalities
•    3,283 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from April 6, 2021
•    367 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 11 in 24 hours
•    56 were new admissions
•    91 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 5 in 24 hours
•    47 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    40 were discharged since the last report
•    13,380 have been discharged since March 22,2020 
Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County
•    3,127 hospital beds, 781 available, 25%
•    433 ICU beds, 111 available, 26%
