Covid-19 Case Update April 21, 2021 4:30pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on April 21, 2021. Last updated April 20, 2021
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of April 21, 2021  
•        621,660 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 13,816
•        42.0.% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•        414,671 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 8,408
•        28.0% percent of the total population of 1,481,093 has completed their vaccine series (NOTE: This number was reported incorrectly and has been edited to reflect the accurate percentage.)

•        763,825 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 4/12-4/18

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On April 20, 2021: 
•    12,542 COVID-19 tests were administered
•    3,699,232 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    303  new cases were reported
•    194,512 total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    5.3% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    2.4% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 3.1% positive on a 7-day average
•    2.5% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 3.0% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County
•    49,035 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    365,472 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County 
•    1 fatality
•    3,323 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data from April 20, 2021
•    283 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 11 in 24 hours
•    23  were new admissions
•    67 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 3 in 24 hours
•    43 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    30 were discharged since the last report
•    13,863 have been discharged since March 22,2020 
Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County
•    3,145 hospital beds, 731 available, 23%
•    437 ICU beds, 117 available, 27%
