Covid-19 Case Update April 28, 2021 4:15pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on April 28, 2021. Last updated April 27, 2021
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of April 28, 2021  
•        661,987 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 6,256
•        44.7% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•        470,081 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 8,291
•        31.7% percent of the total population of 1,481,093 have completed their vaccine series

•        738,340 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 4/19-4/25

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On April 27, 2021
•    10,449  COVID-19 tests were administered
•    3,791,364 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    230 new cases were reported
•    196,535  total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    5.2% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    2.2% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 2.2% positive on a 7-day average
•    2.0% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 2.1% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County
•    50,348 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    367,615 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County 
•    1 fatality
•    3,341 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from April 27, 2021 
•    228 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 7 in 24 hours
•    18  were new admissions
•    59 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change in 24 hours
•    36 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    25 were discharged since the last report
•    14,065 have been discharged since March 22,2020 
 
Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County
•    3,141 hospital beds, 797 available, 25%
•    439 ICU beds, 126 available, 29%
