Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on April 30, 2021. Last updated April 29, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of April 30, 2021  

  • 690,241 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 19,576
  • 46.6% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 508,125 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 25,483
  • 34.3% percent of the total population of 1,481,093 have completed their vaccine series
  • Demographics can be found on the NYSDOH vaccine tracker
  • 738,340 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 4/19-4/25

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On April 29, 2021

  • 14,614  COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 3,821,606 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 289 new cases were reported
  • 197,095  total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 5.2% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 2.0% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 2.1% positive on a 7-day average
  • 1.9% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 2.0% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County

  • 50,854 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 368,377 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 1 fatality
  • 3,348 total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from April 29, 2021

  • 209 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 8 in 24 hours
  • 23  were new admissions
  • 57 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 1 in 24 hours
  • 33 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 26 were discharged since the last report
  • 14,118 have been discharged since March 22,2020
